The Sheep Dip Show

The name Sheep Dip is drawn from Nevada’s early heritage of sheep herding in the Sierra Nevada. Sheep Dip is a cleansing element in which sheep are, literally, dipped. But these days, the Sheep Dip Show is a ‘Parody for Charity’ that dips our newsmakers in the satirical vat of comedy, skits, singing and dancing to cleanse them of their past deeds (so that they may go right back and be foolish again)!

Join us January 13 and 14, 2017 at the ELDORADO Hotel & Casino for Sheep Dip 53! SHEEP DIP is our annual fundraiser show, dedicated to exposing the foibles and follies of the Truckee Meadows (and, sometimes, the whole USA!) with laughter, skits, songs and dance.

The show is performed every year by your neighbors: area locals, members of the media and a few of our (infamous) politicians. Sheep Dip raises funds that support charities in the Reno/Sparks area.

Babes in Toyland

Since 2008, the ‘Babes in Toyland’ Charity Toy Drive has been one of the hottest tickets in Hollywood during the Holiday season. Thousands of children in need  have benefited from the generous donations of toys provided by event attendees through local non-profit organizations such as The Midnight Mission, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

‘Babes in Toyland’ gives patrons an opportunity to give back to the community alongside some of the most beautiful women in the world.

This year, ‘Babes in Toyland’ will again benefit The Midnight Mission (www.MidnightMission.org).  The Midnight Mission is the oldest continuously operating human service organization in LA.

The 9th Annual ‘Babes in Toyland’ will be hosted by over 50 models, actresses, social media influencers including Star of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice Brande Roderick.  The combined Social Media reach of the hosts is expected to exceed 100 million followers.

Entertainment will be provided by nationally acclaimed DJs and music artists.

Miracle on 34th Street at the Eldorado

“Miracle on 34th Street” is a heartwarming musical based on the classic 1947 holiday movie of the same name. The story revolves around single mother, Doris Walker, who doesn’t want her six-year old daughter’s head filled with romantic notions about Christmas. That is, until they both discover that the Macy’s department store Santa Clause may actually be the real Kris Kringle.

Featuring a book and score by author of “The Music Man,” Meredith Wilson, “Miracle on 34th Street” is filled with humor, spectacle and beloved songs including “Pinecones and Hollyberries,” “It’s Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas,” “MY State, My Kansas,” “Silent Night” and “Jingle Bells.” This joyous musical is pure family entertainment and the perfect holiday treat for the entire family. With a timely message of love and believing in the unbelievable, “Miracle on 34th Street” is sure to resonate with audiences and melt even the most cynical heart.

“Miracle on 34th Street” will be showing at the Eldorado Theatre, November 22 through January 1. Receive half-off your entrée at any Eldorado restaurant with the purchase of a full-price show ticket (Black out dates apply).
