Reno Wine Walk

Reno Wine Walk Supports Newton Learning Center
A portion of the event proceeds benefit The Newton Learning Center of northern Nevada

Help support The Newton Learning Center and the Reno Riverwalk District during the Reno Wine Walk, on Saturday, August 15, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., a perfect occasion to show your appreciation for community, education and wine.

It’s not only the love of your favorite red or white wine worth celebrating this August, but it’s also a day to show your support for education. Each month portions of the proceeds for the Reno Wine Walk benefit local charitable organizations. In over five years the event organizers have donated more than $77,000 to local non-profits. This August the Riverwalk District’s monthly event will be supporting the Newton learning Center, which strives to enhance the future of children with Autism Spectrum Disorders through individualized attention in the areas of academics and social thinking, critical to students with special needs.

The Wine Walk is a monthly event held on the third Saturday where you purchase a decorative wine glass for a $20 wine-tasting fee. With wine glass in hand and a valid photo ID, you’ll receive an ID bracelet which allows you to sample wine at any of the twenty-plus participating merchant locations. Many of the businesses hand paint each individual wine glass which attendees get to take home. At the end of the event attendees enter to win over $700 in gift cards from all the participating merchants during a 5 p.m. raffle.
